Medical intercom system solution
Architecture
The system is based on the TCP/IP architecture transmission technology of the local area network, realizing bidirectional calling and intercom between the medical terminal of the ward nurse station, the terminal at the entrance of the ward, and the bedside terminal. The nurse station medical terminal, duty extension, ward entrance terminal, and bedside terminal can all be set with independent IP addresses for independent management on the system platform.
The system platform is built using the B/S model, Web browsing does not require the installation of controls, and can be accessed remotely through a local area network. By logging into the system management platform with department account permissions, it is possible to achieve unified management of devices in branches and other institutions located far away from each other or in different regions.

Each ward has a ward management center (nurse station), and large wards can set up multiple medical and nursing hosts at the nurse station to facilitate high-quality services and work efficiency.
In the construction of ward networking, high-quality network switches are used to achieve digital switching, transmission and other functions in the ward.
In terms of transmission materials, it is advisable to use fiber optics and fiber optic transceivers for long-distance connections, and use Category 5 cables for transmission within the ward.
According to the actual situation on site, each entrance and exit of the ward can be equipped with a terminal device for managing the entrance of the ward, making it easy for visitors to confirm their identity through visual intercom with the nurse station. Medical staff can enter and exit through card swiping.
Function Introduction
The Mingke IP medical intercom system consists of 25 modules, with a layout structure divided into: nurse station, doctor's office, ward corridor, and inside the ward. Each area can be equipped with complete information equipment, including but not limited to: computer, nursing call nurse station management terminal, nursing call doctor duty terminal, patient information display screen, ward entrance nursing call terminal, bed nursing call terminal, door light, emergency call button, corridor information display screen, and so on. The intelligent ward nursing call system, which serves as a functional implementation and control, must simultaneously have a series of functional modules such as doctor-patient intercom calls, patient information electronic dashboards, mobile receiving terminals, infusion monitoring, etc. The detailed functions are as follows:
1. The system is built in B/S mode: Web browsing does not need to install controls, but through Internet remote access, log in to the system management platform with department account permissions, which can achieve unified management of equipment in branches and other branches in different places or regions.
2. Dual mode intercom: When the server is connected normally, the bedside extension and the management machine can make two-way calls and intercoms; When the server goes down (you can unplug the network cable and wait for a few seconds), the hospital bed extension can still call the nurse station management machine, and the ward entrance machine can also call the nurse station management machine; Both can have intercom calls.
3. One call, one response: When the hospital bed extension calls the management machine, a group call is used, and all extensions in the group ring together to remind. After any extension in the group answers, the call bell ends and the intercom begins.
4. Call group management: Call groups can be managed by adding or removing extensions through the business backend, supporting the addition and removal of device groups, making business applications more flexible and calling more efficient.
5. Dynamic nursing positioning: The system dynamically joins and removes call groups based on the nursing function of the equipment. After joining, the corresponding equipment supports connecting calls for intercom and automatic withdrawal from nursing. When the nurse enters the ward, press the "Nursing" button on the entrance machine of the ward, and the machine will display "Nursing in progress", the door light will be green, and the corridor screen will display "XX room nursing in progress".
6. Unprocessed Event: Generate an unhandled event according to the rules, and an unhandled event will be generated on each call or alarm management machine and auxiliary machine.
7. Call management console: Open the settings for call management console in the management console settings. When quick mode is enabled, click on the corresponding grid of the bed in the management center interface to call the patient; Under the call center, click on the extension number on the call waiting list to quickly answer the call; When the selection mode is enabled: click on the corresponding grid of the bed in the management center interface to view patient information, and you can choose to close or call the patient; Under the call desk, when making multiple calls, medical staff can operate (answer, know) according to their own needs, select calls other than those currently passed, and view patient information; Supports transfer and call hold functions.
8. Call queue visualization: When there are multiple calls, the management machine will display the call queue, which can be selected to answer; You can answer while operating other calls.
9. Address book: The system automatically generates an internal address book by department, bidding farewell to memorizing boring numbers and making it more efficient to find people. On the address book interface of the management machine, you can directly click on the corresponding name of the management machine or auxiliary machine to call directly, answer and talk back; You can also search for the target to be called based on the type, such as the type of management device, mobile terminal type, etc.
10. Real time voice feedback: The system prompts different voices based on different states, such as awareness, busy traffic, call hold, call transfer, call ringtone, etc., making the system more user-friendly.
11. Call forwarding:
1) The system supports shutdown transfer to prevent the management machine from being unable to call due to unexpected power outages;
2) The system supports hierarchical transfer. When the call from the hospital bed extension exceeds the time limit and no one responds, the call information can be automatically uploaded to the higher-level management machine to avoid calls that are unanswered due to busyness.
12. Cross ward trusteeship: The intelligent terminal and extension of this management machine can be entrusted to other nurse station management machines for management. Immediate trusteeship: directly click on the trusteeship host in the trusteeship settings, select the management machine to be hosted to, and click start trusteeship. Terminal device deployment plan
1. Network connection method
Wired network
Terminal devices that support wired networks include: nurse station medical terminals, nurse station intelligent signage, electronic door signs, electronic bedside cards, and corridor display screens. Most wired networks are old residential areas without wireless signal coverage, and the network requirements are as follows:
2 Deployment Implementation Conditions
Network requirements
Network bandwidth: Interlayer switches require gigabit level
Taking a building with 20 floors and an average of 50 terminals per floor as an example for calculation. The required speed for watching TV at each terminal is 400kBps. The calculation shows that the required bandwidth is: 20 * 50 * 400kBps=400MBps, so the peak occupied bandwidth is 400MBps * 8=3200Mb. Nowadays, the switches used for building to building networks in hospitals are all 10 Gigabit switches, which account for 30% of the switch bandwidth during peak conditions and less during normal use.
Network IP planning and allocation
A fixed IP address within the hospital intranet needs to be assigned to the server in order to access the hospital network;
Hospitals need to reserve a network segment to assign IP addresses to terminals;
The IP addresses assigned to the above two points require normal communication with the hospital HIS server.
External network requirements
Version updates and bedside payment functions require access to the internet, so it is necessary to grant the server internet access, with ports 3309 and 8080 temporarily opened. Negotiate further if there are business requirements.
